Korean K-pop powerhouse aespa is in countdown mode: their long-awaited second studio album, LEMONADE, drops globally at 1 p.m. KST on May 29, 2026 (midnight ET). It is the SM Entertainment quartet’s first full-length album in two years — since 2024’s Armageddon — and it lands paired with the most ambitious world tour of aespa’s career.

A Sophomore Album Built for the Global Stage
LEMONADE is an 11-track set (10 on physical CDs, with a Spotify-only bonus) that aespa’s label describes as their most expansive musical statement yet. Coming under the new tour banner SYNK: COMPLÆXITY, the album leans into the group’s sci-fi “ae” worldbuilding — but pushes it darker and more unrestrained than the bright, hyper-pop palette of Armageddon. Pre-release concept photos labeled The Creature set the mood with moody blues and reds.
Two Title Tracks, Two Moods
The album is anchored by double title tracks:
- WDA (Whole Different Animal) feat. G-DRAGON — A hip-hop-leaning, bass-and-synth-heavy dance track. Pre-released May 11 and already a streaming juggernaut. The collaboration with BIGBANG leader G-Dragon is one of the most talked-about K-pop team-ups of the year.
- LEMONADE — The album’s title track, dropping with the full release on May 29. Early buzz pegs it as a brighter, summer-coded counterweight to “WDA.”

SYNK: COMPLÆXITY — A 25-City World Tour
Right behind the album drop, aespa launches a four-continent run through 2026–27:
- Asia opener: Two Seoul nights in August, then Taipei.
- Latin America: São Paulo, Santiago, San Miguel, Mexico City.
- North America: Hamilton, Elmont (NY), Washington D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Vancouver.
- Europe (Jan–Feb 2027): Opens in Manchester, closes in Paris on February 2.
Why It Is Trending
This is more than a comeback — it is aespa’s bid to cement themselves as a top-tier global act. The G-Dragon collaboration alone bridges fourth-gen K-pop with one of the genre’s most iconic figures, and the world tour scale signals the company sees them as headliner-ready outside Asia. For international fans, the next 24 hours are the moment to lock in: the album lands at 1 p.m. KST on May 29 across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Melon. The official MV for “LEMONADE” follows on the same day on the SMTOWN / aespa YouTube channel.
