About “SWIM”: the comeback single that did it
“SWIM” was released as the title track of ARIRANG on March 20, 2026 — BTS’s first full-group album in three years, and the song that effectively reopened the group’s post-military chapter. The release went massive immediately:

The song itself is an Alternative Pop track with lyrics written by RM — a “love for life” meditation built around swimming as the metaphor for getting through whatever the current throws at you. The MV was directed by Spanish filmmaker Tanu Muiño (known for high-budget pop visuals), starred American actress Lili Reinhart (Riverdale) as a central figure facing personal turmoil, and was filmed against the Atlantic in Lisbon, Portugal with real large ships and full cinematic-scale sets.

BTS at the AMAs: an 8-year, 14-trophy run
What makes the 2026 sweep land harder is the context. BTS has been at the AMAs six times and has won every single time:

The AMA sweep functions as the formal public announcement that BTS’s post-military chapter is — and will be — measured against their pre-military commercial peak.
