Korean K-pop veterans SHINee have surged back into Google’s Daily Search Trends in Korea this week as anticipation builds for their sixth mini-album, Atmos, due out at 6 p.m. KST on June 1. The release marks the four-member group’s first full-lineup return in about a year — and member Key’s first official group activity after a six-month hiatus.

A Full Reunion
Atmos is SHINee’s first album as a complete unit since the May 2025 physical single Poet | Artist. Key stepped back from broadcasts late last year amid the so-called “Jusaimo” controversy, and his return rounds out a lineup of Onew, Minho, Key, and Taemin that has been together since 2008. The comeback also coincides with the group’s 18th debut anniversary — a milestone very few K-pop acts reach with their original members intact.
The Tracklist
The mini-album carries six songs:
- Atmos (title track)
- HOURS
- Possibility
- Anti Believer
- Still Raining (소나기)
- Thousand Miles Away
The lead single, Atmos, is an electronic house–based dance track built around glitchy synths and a rhythmic bassline, with what SHINee’s label calls a “dreamy yet refreshing” atmosphere. Possibility pairs UK garage rhythms with alternative-rock guitars, while HOURS leans into a polished disco-funk sound about cherishing memories with a loved one.
Listen: Mood Sampler
SHINee released a mood sampler on May 27 previewing snippets of all six tracks:
Promotional Calendar
SHINee has been rolling out teasers daily this week — individual concept photos on May 25, a group teaser on May 26, the mood sampler on May 27, and the “Prismic Atmos” teaser today (May 28). A music video teaser drops May 29, the same day the group’s eighth solo concert series, The Trilogy I – 2026 Shinee World VIII: [The Invert], opens at Seoul’s KSPO Dome for a three-night run through May 31.
Watch: “Weather Rock” Schedule Film
The whole campaign kicked off with a tongue-in-cheek teaser film of Key playing a weather forecaster, delivering the comeback dates as a forecast for Atmos:
Why It Is Trending
For international fans, Atmos is more than another release — it is a reset moment. After a year of solo activities and the fallout from Key’s controversy, the album is positioned as a return to the group’s signature sound: experimental electronic pop with sleek, club-ready production. Korean media have already called it “the most SHINee-like comeback yet,” and the simultaneous concert run is being treated by fans as the official kick-off of a new era.
If you want to follow the rollout in real time: the music video teaser arrives May 29, the concerts open the same night at KSPO Dome, and the full album lands at 6 p.m. KST on June 1 across all major streaming platforms. The group’s official YouTube channel is the best place to catch each drop as it happens: SHINee on YouTube.
